WQU Debuts Credly Badges for Applied Data Science Module

Today WorldQuant University is excited to announce that we’ve partnered with Credly, the digital credentialing leader, to provide digital badges to the students who complete one or both units of our Applied Data Science Module. By earning badges through Credly, our students will now be able to easily share and celebrate their achievements on popular social media sites, including LinkedIn, Facebook, and Twitter.

“Today’s most in-demand skills aren’t necessarily associated with a prescribed degree path,” said WQU CEO Daphne Kis. “By partnering with Credly, our students are able to not only showcase what they’ve achieved, but can also provide easy-to-see information on what they’ve learned and the skills they’ve mastered. We believe it’s the exact type of information employers need to fully understand what our students have accomplished.”

Students who complete Unit I of the Applied Data Science Module will receive a badge for Applied Data Science I: Scientific Computing & Python, and will become eligible to enroll in Unit II. Students who complete Unit II will receive a badge for Applied Data Science II: Machine Learning & Statistical Analysis. Students who complete either unit of the Module with a grade average over 90% will receive their badge with honors.

Students who completed either unit of the Applied Data Science Module in 2020 will receive email notifications from Credly’s Acclaim platform this week to claim their badges. Students with questions should visit the Credly Acclaim Help Desk here.
