After serving over 12 years as a portfolio manager and holding upwards of 20 jobs, from scientist to video game programmer, Igor first founded WorldQuant, LLC, a quantitative investment firm.
Igor knew that the exponential growth of data would ultimately change the way we invest, learn, and work. Computing power and the explosion of information has driven immense technological transformation.
In his search to find and develop talent for the quantitative finance industry, a passion to create education opportunities around the world was sparked. Igor believed that people all over the world, especially those outside of major cities and regardless of their economic backgrounds, deserved access to quality education and premier resources to work with experts in the field. Education is a right that should be free to all.
He also knew the demand for analytics and data science was only going to increase. By expanding the measure of qualified talent, employers everywhere can more easily meet their needs.
